Puma Helicopters
- Question
- (2) whether he has plans to deploy the upgraded Puma helicopter to Afghanistan.
- Answer
-
We expect to place the Puma Life Extension contract with Eurocopter later this year, though this remains subject to negotiations and final approvals. It would not be appropriate to make public any specific details of the proposed programme schedule while negotiations are ongoing. It is for the chain of command to determine how many and which of their aircraft should be deployed and when.
