Departmental Postal Services

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence which companies are under contract to his Department to provide mail services; and when each such contract expires.
Answer

The MOD contracts solely with Royal Mail Group for provision of mail services through the Forces Mail Settlement. The terms of the contract which ran until 1 April 2009, continue to operate pending agreement and signature of a new contract.
