Terrorism: London Underground

Question
To ask Her Majesty's Government how many staff employed on the London Underground have received training to prepare them for a possible terrorist attack; and what percentage of all staff employed on the Underground they represent.
Answer

While this is a matter for the Mayor and Transport for London, operational front-line staff are trained on emergency procedures to deal with a wide range of incidents and which include the evacuation of stations and de-training procedures. London Underground staff are also supported in major incidents by the British Transport Police and other emergency services.
