Iraq: Detainees

- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what recent discussions he has had with the US authorities on the (a) legal status, (b) detention conditions and (c) prospects of trial or release of the two individuals detained by British forces in Iraq in 2004 and subsequently rendered to the Bagram Theatre Internment Facility in Afghanistan.

The MOD maintains an ongoing dialogue with US authorities on a range of detention-related matters, including the two individuals you referred to. The most recent contact of this nature occurred in mid-December 2009.
