Asylum Seekers

Question
To ask Her Majesty's Government following the recent Human Rights Watch report Fast-Tracked Unfairness: Detention and Denial of Women Asylum Seekers in the UK, whether they will ensure that people with complex claims are not included in the fast-track asylum procedure; and whether complex gender-related persecution claims will be excluded from that procedure.
Answer

No asylum seeker whose case is considered to be complex would be processed in the detained fast track procedure, irrespective of the basis of their claim.
