- What recent discussions he has had with Ministerial colleagues and Scottish Executive Ministers on development of the A1 between Newcastle and the east of Scotland.

There is a continuing dialogue between me as the regional Minister and Transport Ministers across a range of transport issues affecting the north-east of England, including the development of the A1 north of Newcastle. There is dialogue at official level between the devolved authority, the regional government office and the Department for Transport.
