Question
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much his Department spent on taxi fares in each year since 1997.
Answer

Spend on taxis for 2002-03 to 2009-10 is shown in the following table:

As a result of the introduction of a new accounting system in 2002-03, provision of information prior to that date could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
