- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many times Army technical officers have been called out to deal with (a) suspected and (b) actual explosive devices in Northern Ireland in (i) 2010, (ii) 2009, (iii) 2008, (iv) 2007 and (v) 2006.

The following table details the number of Explosive Ordinance Disposal tasks attended in Northern Ireland and the number of these that involved an explosive device. A complete and reliable set of data for 2006 is not held.The data for 2010 is for tasks up to 31 August 2010.
