Ballistic Missile Defence

- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence which military bases in the UK (a) form part of and (b) provide support services for the US Missile Defense System; what support for the system is provided in each case; and if he will make a statement.

The UK provides support to the US Ballistic Missile Defense system by sharing radar early warning information from RAF Fylingdales and by allowing the US to use a ground station at RAF Menwith Hill to receive satellite early warning information. This information is routed into the US Ballistic Missile Defense command and control system.
