Armed Forces: Deployment

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many armed forces personnel are deployed in (a) India, (b) China, (c) the US, (d) Russia, (e) France and (f) Germany; and at what cost to his Department in the most recent period for which figures are available.

This information is contained in Tri Service Publication 10, UK Regular Forces Stationed Location (TSP 10); A copy has been placed in the Library of the House. Copies of TSP 10 are also available at:"http://www.dasa.mod.uk/applications/newWeb/www/index.php?page=48&thiscontent=100&pubType=0&date =2011-02-10&disText=01%20Jan%202011&from=historic &topDate=2011-02-10&PublishTime=09:30:00"Figures for 1 April 2011 should be available on the website by 12 May 2011 as per the quarterly update of the publication.The costs for these personnel are not held centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
