Iran: Nuclear Weapons
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what his assessment is of the potential for the weaponisation of the Iranian nuclear programme.
- Answer
-
In November the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) expressed"““serious concerns””"about credible information that"““indicates that Iran has carried out activities relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device.””"It also suggests that some activities relevant to the development of such a device may still be ongoing. We share these concerns and continue to call for full implementation by Iran of United Nations Security Council and IAEA Board of Governors Resolutions.
