Britain Building Investment Fund

- To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what he has made of (a) the level of take-up and (b) the effectiveness of the Get Britain Building investment fund.

[holding answer 20 December 2011]: The Government published a prospectus for the Get Britain Building fund on 22 December. Expressions of interest are requested by 27 January 2012. Our analysis suggests there are 133,000 stalled sites in England, of which, 90,000 units have not started and are classified as on hold or shelved.
