Diamond Jubilee 2012: Medals

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether the information held on the Joint Personnel Administration system is sufficient to ascertain whether a member of the reserve forces is eligible to receive the Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Answer

[holding answer 16 January 2012]: The information held on the Joint Personnel Administration system (JPA) is sufficient to identify whether a member of the reserve forces is eligible to receive the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal, provided individuals and units have effectively maintained their JPA profiles. Any individual who believes they are entitled to the medal and have not received one by the National Thanksgiving Service on 5 June 2012 will be able to appeal to the Ministry of Defence Medal Office.
