Written question asked by Lord Roberts of Llandudno (Liberal Democrat), in the House of Lords. It was answered by Earl Attlee (Conservative) on Tuesday, 28 February 2012.

Railways: Overcrowding

Question
To ask Her Majesty's Government which 10 sections of Network Rail's infrastructure have seen the most complaints about overcrowding.
Answer

The Department for Transport does not hold this information. The Office of Rail Regulation publishes statistics for complaints made to train operators (not by Network Rail region) as part of its National Rail Trends Yearbook but these do not include a specific category for overcrowding.
