Communications Capabilities Development Programme

Question
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the sum required to fund the Communications Capabilities Development Programme; and whether such funds have been set aside for this purpose.

[holding answer 23 April 2012]: The Home Office are responsible for costing their programmes, including the Communications Capabilities Development programme (CCD), which has been in place since 2011.Home Office expenditure limits were set out at the time of the 2010 spending review, details of which are available here:"http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/spend_index.htm"The costs of the Communications Capabilities Development programme will be announced by the Home Office alongside details of the proposals in due course.
