Question: What revisions she proposes in respect of the agreement between herself and the Secretary of State for Social Security on the administration of benefits for unemployed people, in respect of the introduction of jobseeker's allowance. - Includes fact that new agreement on jobseeker's allowance and related issues came into force. Copies of this agreement in the Library as DEP/3 3997.

Answer: Mr. Deva: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment what revisions she proposes in respect of the agreement between herself and the Secretary of state for Social Security on the administration of benefits for unemployed people, in respect of the introduction of jobseeker's allowance. [41201] Mr. Forth: The agreement on the administration of unemployment benefit and income support for unemployed people became obsolete when jobseeker's allowance replaced those benefits on 7 October. A new agreement on jobseeker's allowance and related issues came into force. Copies of this agreement have been placed in the Libraries of both Houses.
