Answer: Mrs. Roche: To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how much his Department spent on (a) advertising, (b) public relations and (c) entertainment in each of the last five financial years. [1263] Mr. Burt: The information is in the lists: Advertising 1991-92: £4,834,813 1992-93: £4,452,277 1993-94: £5,964,988 1994-95: £3,597,308 1995-96: £6,383,467. Entertainment (Official hospitality) 1991-92: £91,934 1992-93: £175,901 1993-94: £165,565 1994-95: £127,139 1995-96: £99,929. The Department does not incur expenditure on public relations.
