- Whether the undertaking on rises in electricity prices given by the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, the honourable Member for North Wiltshire, to the then honourable Member for Hartlepool on 16th October 1991 in evidence taken before the Energy Committee (HC No. 25 of 1991-92, page 5) remains the policy of Her Majesty's Government. Yes, mechanism was implemented & remains in place.
