Mr. Evans: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many civil servants currently work in the Welsh Office; and how many he estimates will work in the Welsh Office after the implementation of his devolution proposals. [12689] Mr. Davies: The Welsh Office currently employs 2,224 full-time equivalent staff. This figures includes 140 casual staff. My estimate of the number employed by the Welsh Office after establishment of the Welsh Assembly is set out in paragraph 4.45 of the White Paper "A Voice for Wales", copies of which are available in the Vote Office.
