Answer

Mr. Rhodri Morgan: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list the dates and circumstances on which consent (a) before the event and (b) retrospectively in the past five years has been sought for land acquisition and sales involving (i) the Welsh Development Agency, (ii) the Scottish Development Agency and (iii) English Partnerships. [51223] Mrs. Liddell: [holding answer 17 July 1998]: Some of the information that my hon. Friend requires will take considerable time to provide. I will therefore write to my hon. Friend and place copies in the Library of the House. Details of Welsh Development Agency cases will be provided only for the last three years because of the disproportionate cost of providing details before then.
