Question: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, what evaluation his Department has made of the spray suppression procedures for heavy goods vehicles in (a) Portugal, (b) France, (c) Belgium, (d) Germany and (e) Holland.

Answer: Mr. Crausby: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what evaluation his Department has made of the spray suppression procedures for heavy goods vehicles in (a) Portugal, (b) France, (c) Belgium, (d) Germany and (e) Holland. [47768] Ms Glenda Jackson: None; however, spray from goods vehicles is a problem recognised by several EU member states. Discussions are planned by the European Commission to look at the whole problem.
