Mr. Maclean: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the disposal of land at RAF 14MU. [44893] Mr. Spellar: The disposal of the core sites of 14MU RAF Carlisle jointly to Cumbria and Carlisle is ongoing. While land quality issues remain a sensitive matter, it is our aim to conclude contract terms shortly. A separate marketing campaign for the open market sale of the four outlying sites is to be initiated this month.
