Question: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, how many recent representations he has received from residents of Fernhill Heath, Worcestershire concerning the Wychavon Local Plan.

Answer: Mr. Luff: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions how many recent representations he has received from residents of Fernhill Heath, Worcestershire concerning the Wychavon Local Plan; and if he will make a statement. [26216] Mr. Caborn: Recently, one representation, dated 23 December 1997, was received from the hon. Member on behalf of one of his constituents in respect of Fernhill Heath. Prior to this, eight representations have been received, all during 1996. The Wychavon Local Plan was adopted by the district Council on 21 January 1998. We gave careful consideration to the plan proposals throughout each stage of the process leading to adopt and we are satisfied that there was no justification for intervention by the Secretary of State.
