Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, if he has received binding assurances that all relevant technologies and source codes would be transferred to the United Kingdom if it acquired a United States BVRAAM.
Answer

Mr. Page: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he has received binding assurances that all relevant technologies and source codes would be transferred to the United Kingdom if it acquired a United States BVRAAM. [97711] Mr. Hoon: Assurances concerning the necessary transfer of relevant technologies and source code are the subject of discussions with Raytheon Systems Limited and the United States Department of Defense. Should the UK choose a US solution to its BVRAAM competition, the conclusion of these discussions would be incorporated in a contract with Raytheon and in a Memorandum of Understanding with the United States Department of Defense.
