Mr. Pike: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment how many student loan accounts have been written off; what are the amounts involved on each account; and if he will make a statement. [93597] Mr. Mudie: At 30 June 1999, 110,816 student loan accounts had been written off with a total value of £4.6 million. Listing the amounts written off on each of these accounts would involve disproportionate cost.
