[92511] Mr. Mudie: The available data include those entering their current Higher Education Institution on appointment as professors either on promotion or as a result of a move from a professorial post elsewhere. Those gaining professorial rank within their existing institution are therefore excluded. Figures for the two most recent years are shown in the table.
