Mr. Laurence Robertson: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment if he will rank each local education authority according to the value of the schools components of its Standard Spending Assessment for 1999-2000 as a percentage of the value of those components for 1998-99; and if he will show those percentages and values distinguishing the authorities with grant maintained schools in 1998-99. [89738] Ms Estelle Morris: The following table shows, for each local education authority, the value of the Schools Standard Spending Assessments (SSA) for 1999-2000 and 1998-99, and the former expressed as a percentage of the latter, ranked by this percentage. Schools SSA has been interpreted as an authority's total SSA excluding the "Other" block.
