Dr. Julian Lewis: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what discussions he has had in the past year with representatives of the road haulage industry; and on what dates. [134964] Mr. Timms: Treasury Ministers have had a number of discussions with representatives of the road haulage industry. I attended meetings of the Road Haulage Forum, which includes representatives of the Freight Transport Association, Road Haulage Association and Transport and General Workers Union, on 8 December 1999, 9 February 2000, 17 April 2000, 26 July 2000, 19 October 2000 and 14 November 2000.
