To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what recent discussions he has had with the United States about the use of depleted uranium-tipped shells in Serbia. - (Holding answer 3 April 2000).

Mr. Dalyell: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what recent discussions he has had with the United States about the use of depleted uranium-tipped shells in Serbia. [117112] Mr. Spellar: [holding answer 3 April 2000]: I have had no recent discussions with the United States Government about the use of depleted uranium-based munitions in Serbia.
