Question: To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what discussions he has had with the first ministers and others from the devolved administrations in relation to UK entry into the euro-zone and their role in a referendum on that question.

Answer: Adam Price: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what discussions he has had with the First Ministers and others from the devolved Administrations in relation to UK entry into the euro-zone and their role in a referendum on that question. [9847] Ruth Kelly: If the Government recommend UK entry into economic and monetary union, it will be put to a vote in Parliament and then to a referendum of the British people. A Government decision to recommend UK entry into economic and monetary union is a reserved matter, and therefore a matter for the UK Government.
