Chris Ruane: To ask the Secretary of State for International Development how many civil servants are employed by her Department; and how much money was spent by her Department in the last 12 months in each local authority area. [87262] Clare Short: On the number of civil servants, I refer the hon. Gentleman to the answer provided by my hon. Friend for the Cabinet Office on 16 December 2002. The question on local authority areas is not relevant to DFID as our work is focused overseas in developing countries.
