Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what representations her Department received from (a) the Treasury and (b) other Government departments (i) prior to and (ii) following the withdrawal of the Home Energy Conservation Bill; what representations her Department received from the Treasury concerning the saving to that Department as a result of the withdrawal of the Home Energy Conservation Bill; what representations her Department received from the Treasury prior to the withdrawal of the Home Energy Conservation Bill concerning the cost of a statutory target of 30 per cent. in domestic energy improvement by 2010.
