To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what percentage of his Department's systems are currently not millennium compliant. - Includes figures. (Holding answer 21 January 1999).

Mr. Keith Simpson: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what percentage of his Department's systems are currently not millennium compliant. [66751] Mr. Spellar: [holding answer 21 January 1999]: Work to date has concentrated on identifying which MOD equipments are critical to our Defence capability, and ensuring that these systems will be compliant. Currently, around 60 per cent. of such systems are reported as compliant and programmes are in place to ensure that the remaining business critical systems are made compliant in good time.
