Mr. Webb: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to the answer of 26 January 1999, Official Report, column 235 and his oral statement on the Budget, of 9 March 1999, Official Report, column 185, if he will make a statement on the difference between the two estimates of the number of pensioner households receiving winter fuel payments. [78525] Ms Hewitt: [holding answer 25 March 1999]: In his Budget Statement the Chancellor of the Exchequer was describing pensioner households within the United Kingdom whereas the DSS figure relates to Great Britain only.
