To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, how many (a) warning letters and (b) enforcement notices have been given by the Health and Safety Executive to (i) Railtrack and (ii) train operating companies for each year since 1995-96; and if he will provide details of each such letter or notice. - Inc table of enforcement notices and fact that information on number of warning letters and details of enforcement notices disproportionate cost.

Mr. Don Foster: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions how many (a) warning letters and (b) enforcement notices have been given by the Health and Safety Executive to (i) Railtrack and (ii) train operating companies for each year since 1995-96; and if he will provide details of each such letter or notice.
