Question: Further to 159 c210-1W what provision exists for following up on tests which prove positive for salmonella poisoning tracing contaminated eggs to their origin & having flocks from whence the contaminated imported eggs came either tested or tested & slaughtered; why no consignments of imported eggs have been destroyed; & what constitutes consignment of eggs; how long after 60 eggs are removed for testing results are known; whether consignment is allowed to proceed & disperse its eggs to retail sellers before results obtained; & what provisions exist for recalling or withdrawing dispersed eggs from retailers shelves if testing proves positive.
