- To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, if he will require a person selling a motor vehicle to provide the odometer mileage at the time of sale and for the information to be printed on the registration document for the vehicle.

Mr. Sayeed: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will require a person selling a motor vehicle to provide the odometer mileage at the time of sale and for the information to be printed on the registration document for the vehicle. [74781] Ms Glenda Jackson: The Government are currently reviewing their policy on collection of mileage information. The Vehicle Crime Reduction Action Team, set up by the Home Office, is considering the options and will be making recommendations shortly.
