Question: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his Answer to the honourable Member for Peterborough of 2nd November 2004, 426 c196W, on prisons, what criteria are used to determine which fire fighting equipment is available in each prison; and what assessment he makes of (a) the materials used in the construction of, (b) the location of and (c) the water pressure available in the vicinity of prisons and detention centres in making such decisions. - It has not proved possible to respond to the rt hon Member in the time available before Prorogation.
