To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, what progress the Children and Family Court Advisory Support Service is making in preparing guidelines on contact; and when they will be published.

Mrs. Gillan: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills what progress the Children and Family Court Advisory Support Service is making in preparing guidelines on contact; and when they will be published. [197073] Margaret Hodge: A draft version of CAFCASS' guidelines, entitled "Contact Principles, Practice Guidelines and Procedure", was issued on 16 August 2004 for public consultation. This consultation period ends on 22 November 2004. CAFCASS will then consider the responses to the draft document and it expects to publish a final version in the first half of 2005.
