Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, what percentage of cases dealt with by the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS) in (a) 2001-02, (b) 2002-03 and (c) 2003-04 resulted in orders reached by consent following intervention by CAFCASS staff.

Answer: Mr. Clappison: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills what percentage of cases dealt with by the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS) in (a) 2001-02, (b) 2002-03 and (c) 2003-04 resulted in orders reached by consent following intervention by CAFCASS staff. [194219] Margaret Hodge: The Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service does not collect the data requested. CAFCASS's intervention has helped parties to reach agreement in many cases. CAFCASS is aiming to collect such data in the future.
