To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether the EU Ideal Cabin Environment project, due to start in 2005, will examine the issue of contaminated aircraft cabin air; and if he will make a statement.
Answer

Mr. Tyler: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether the EU Ideal Cabin Environment project, due to start in 2005, will examine the issue of contaminated aircraft cabin air; and if he will make a statement. [191636] Charlotte Atkins: The proposed EU Ideal Cabin Environment Project is likely to focus on cabin air pressure and is not expected to include the issue of cabin air quality.
