Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what provisions have been made for cadet recruitment and training by his Department. - Including table. (Holding answer 15 July 2004).

Answer: Mr. Keith Simpson: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what provisions have been made for cadet recruitment and training by his Department. [184158] Mr. Caplin: [holding answer 15 July 2004]: The provision made for recruitment and training for the Cadet Forces can be shown by the latest budget/ expenditure for all of the Cadet Forces (including CCF), which were as follows: Recruitment and Training for Cadet Forces--2003-04 _________________________________________________________________________________________________. £ million £million Cadets affiliated to the Royal Air Force 21 Cadets affiliated to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines 10 Cadets affiliated to the Army 60 _________________________________________________________________________________________________. The Army is responsible for providing many items for use by all Cadet Forces, such as Medical Modules for use on adventure training and Cadet camps.
