Sandra Gidley: To ask the Secretary of State for Health for what reasons he asked the National Institute for Clinical Excellence to undertake a technology appraisal of fallers' clinics. [181438] Dr. Ladyman: We considered that a technology appraisal in this area might identify benefits to patients and reduce pressures on the national health service. The National Institute for Clinical Excellence is also developing a clinical guideline in this area.
