Proceeding contribution from Siobhain McDonagh (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 23 May 2005. It occurred during Queen's speech debate on Home Affairs and Communities.

Home Affairs and Communities

May I say how popular the police community support officers are in my constituency? Indeed, members of the Glebe Court residents association are so thrilled with the improvement in their quality of life because of their PCSOs that they have suggested to other residents and tenants associations that they campaign for them, too. I urge the hon. Lady, therefore, not to suggest that they are not a great benefit to local people, because they certainly are in Mitcham and Morden.
