Proceeding contribution from Lord Lester of Herne Hill (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Monday, 11 July 2005. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Equality Bill (HL).
Equality Bill [HL]
We agree on the end; the only question is whether, technically, the end is being achieved. I shall read carefully what the Minister has said, and would be very surprised if she and her advisers were mistaken. If any question arises, I shall, if I may, raise it hereafter. Meanwhile, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
