Proceeding contribution from Lord Livsey of Talgarth (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 25 October 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Commons Bill [HL].

Commons Bill [HL]

As a former MP for Radnorshire, and knowing the noble Lord and the exact site of his common, I support his remarks. The situation that he described applies to a number of commons in Wales. It is extremely important that the ownership of a common is registered as of right and that there is clear evidence of it. The amendments would clear up a lot of the anomalies in other places that I know.
