Proceeding contribution from Lord Bach (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 25 October 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Commons Bill [HL].
Commons Bill [HL]
I hoped that I had made that clear. We would consult on the issue after Royal Assent. I was not hiding that; I said that earlier. I refer to our concern with registration of this kind. While it is compulsory to register the title at the Land Registry, our fear is that there would be many examples of parties not registering some small apportionment or small transfer whether it was compulsory or voluntary. That is one of the matters about which we want to talk.
