Proceeding contribution from Baroness Farrington of Ribbleton (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 9 November 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Commons Bill [HL].
Commons Bill [HL]
The kind of activities we have in mind in ““agricultural activities””, other than grazing, referred to by my noble friend Lord Williams, are grouse rearing, mentioned in relation to Amendment No. 149 by the noble Earl, Lord Peel. Sheep hefting would be another example of an agricultural activity. I feel as though I am about to be trapped into saying, ““It means what we say it means””. It means what it says.
