Proceeding contribution from Baroness Farrington of Ribbleton (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 9 November 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Commons Bill [HL].

Commons Bill [HL]

Dealing with the point raised by the noble Baroness, Lady Miller, we have decided to require the prior approval of the appropriate national authority where the breach of a rule results in a criminal offence being committed. We think that is a reasonable requirement.
