UK Space Policy

: The hon. Lady is making an excellent speech and I agree with every word that she utters, so I will call her my hon. Friend. Does she agree that we are not talking big bucks in terms of Government spending? We are talking about the difference between a commitment of £3 million and the amount that industry and outside assessors have arrived at, which is £11 million. That is just pocket change to the Government, even though it is taxpayers' money. It is almost ridiculous that we have to fight for that money and encourage the Government to spend it when the Prime Minister rightly said at G8 and various EU meetings that he wants to take a lead. Showing leadership would surely mean finding this small amount of money.
